The Belize Volleyball Association (BVA) is the national organization charged with and authorized to govern volleyball and beach volleyball in the country of Belize. It is affiliated with the FIVB, NORCECA, AFECAVOL and the National Sports Council (NSC). It has local zonal affiliated governing associations throughout Belize including Toledo, Dangriga, Belmopan, Cayo, Orange Walk, Corozal, San Pedro, Caye Caulker, and Belize District.
The BVA assists the school tournament organizers, NSC, NSSSA, ATLIB with their annual tournaments. It organizes national tournaments in volleyball and beach volleyball and assists and collaborates with associations, clubs, and teams with their local tournaments. The BVA presently has volleyball national teams at the U16 (girls), U17 (boys), U18 (girls), U19 (boys), U23 (men and women) and the men and women level. It has beach volleyball national teams at the U17 (boys & girls), U19 (boys & girls), U21 (men & women) and the men & women level. Belize participates at the AFECAVOL level in all volleyball and beach competitions and at the Continental Beach Tour with its men and women teams. The BVA’s 6 week long summer camp is now taken up by member organizations and local associations. The BVA, in collaboration with the NSC, is embarking on hosting underaged tournaments in U11, U13, U15, U18 male and female, with representation of school teams. It also intends to expand to similar tournaments in beach volleyball. It will be expanding its competition schedule to include a national Inter Office volleyball championship and hopefully soon start Inter Office beach volleyball.
